Working towards finish includes observing the study through every aspect and recognizing with intention what you need/want to rework:

  • Do any lines need to be reestablished?
  • Take a look at the color, temperature, and harmony; any additions or subtractions?
  • Check your varieties (line, shape, scale, etc.).
  • Sensitivity to edges.

This would be the orchestration part.

Take your painting study that you did for the assignment in Winter Road Part 1  and orchestrate it more towards finish paying attention to the harmonies, varieties, edges, fine darks, fine lights, etc.

Ask yourself to look at the following with a critical eye:

  • Do any lines need to be reestablished?
  • Take a look at the color, temperature, and harmony; any additions or subtractions?
  • Check your varieties (line, shape, scale, etc.).
  • Edgework.
  • Fine darks and lights.
