Mediums:

  • Galkyd (Gamblin) quick drying and higher viscosity
  • Neo Megilp (Gamblin) doesn't dry as fast and can be removed in an hour

Gamblin has an oil painting mediums guide on their website that explains all the mediums.

Place the medium directly on the palette. Use a clean brush and mix the medium with the color you want to use.

Mediums can help to enhance color, slightly change values and merging edges. Allows for enhanced variety.
