Another approach in using 10 lines is for determining character as well as 10 lines for compositional placement.
I want to talk some more about ten lines. This might sound repetitive but sometimes I think we don't realize that we can spend more time with our drawings, what we see, and how to interpret and simplify it.
Remember that we are continually drawing for character and compositional placement. In the Signature Course, we talk about first determining your placement, then refining/defining your lines. Character of your lines and variety, variety, variety are always of focus in this stage. Another approach is to determine your character before your placement, as shown in this video.
